Flying from Texas to Hawaii doesn't seem to take long when you look at the arrival times but when you calculate biologic hours it is a very long flight. We flew to LAX--and were dismayed to learn we had to clear security again as our terminal was outside of the main airport. Arriving in Honolulu we were impressed with the wonderful paintings and displays of native woods, aritfacts of Hawaiian life. Using an airport as a museum is a great idea and certainly makes layover time go fast.
